The WaterWallet

Building an AI first business from the ground up.

The WaterWallet is a compact, fold-away water container, patent pending in the UK, with completed STL files and a working prototype. With prototyping complete, I'm documenting how AI supports the next stages of the business, from preparing for launch to operations and growth.

The product

Made to fold away.

Two protective shells open around a flexible pouch to form a water container. When empty, the pouch folds away and the shells nest together into a compact form.

The founder

I'm James Bell.

I founded Next Step Ventures to help businesses apply AI to the work they do every day. My background brings together finance, data and hands-on AI implementation.

I'm building The WaterWallet to put that approach into practice in a business of my own. With the working prototype complete, the focus is taking the product to market and running the operation behind it. I'll share the decisions, progress and lessons along the way.

AI in practice

From the product to the business behind it.

The project brings together three areas of work, with prototyping complete and the next stages ahead. I'll add specific examples, the tools used and the results as they become available.

01

Product development

The STL files and working prototype are complete. The next stage is comparing manufacturing approaches and turning what we've learned into clear production requirements.

02

Preparing for launch

Customer research, positioning, supplier comparisons and launch planning. Turning findings into clear decisions and practical next steps.

03

Running the business

Enquiries, record keeping, reporting and repeatable daily processes. Exploring how AI can support the operation as the business grows and expands.
